Stockholm is Sweden's capital. With approximately 1 500 000 inhabitants, Stockholm is also Sweden's largest city.
Stockholm consists of 14 islands, meaning you’re close to water almost everywhere. This is probably one of the reasons why Stockholm is often called one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Stockholm offers a rich range of culture and restaurants to explore. There are lots of museums to discover, of which two popular ones are Vasamuseet (the Vasa Museum) and Fotografiska. Other attractions are of course Rådhuset (the City Hall), Kungliga slottet (the Royal Palace) and Riksdag (the Parliament). Unique to Stockholm is also Djurgården; a large green island with lots of parks and museums. There is, among other things, Skansen, which is an open-air museum with a zoo. For those who want to discover the city, Gamla Stan (the Old Town) is a picturesque area to stroll around in. Finish up the day at a restaurant nearby, or in one of the other districts.

Airport
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is the nearest airport, where domestic and international flights arrive and depart daily.
Train station
Stockholm Centralstation is the nearest train station. Trains depart and arrive daily from here to the rest of the country. From Arlanda, it takes about 40 minutes by train to Stockholm Centralstation.
By car
It takes about 40 minutes to go from Arlanda to Stockholm by car.
